That, and something from a fun little gig at Flo Valley. Oh yeah, but none of them is me. I have a few more, including a couple of myself, on my profile.
As for roll call: I'm Peter, and I'm a fire addict. I've been in recovery for...wait, no I haven't. -

i just had my first instruction in poi this sunday in golden gate park from glittergirl, who rocks. with all the patterns, planes and sides to decipher, it's more complicated than i realized. i've been spinning poi like i'm jumping rope, but that's not gonna cut it.

Spin a little fire staff - love it and want to learn fans next, I think... never enough time to practice! (must rearrange priorities!!)
There's a group here that meets on Sunday nights, went once and will definitely be heading over there again soon! There's an awesome spinner named Dax who I think organizes it :) He's gooooooood!
Interested in poi, think they look soooo koooool but am a bit scared - the fire gets so much closer to the body than in staff spinning!
I also build glo-staffs (look so cool & they're party-friendly) ... anytime I've taken one to a party, everyone wants to play with it!.... no pics yet, will work on that!

I lit up for the first time this past summer because the other girls i danced with wanted to do a fire piece. and now i'm hooked. made my own fire fingers for that show and the first time i heard that "whoosh" as we turned i was hooked. have my own fire blanket, fuel bucket, extinquisher now, have wicked up one of my swords and got some small fire fans for christmas . .but . . sighhhhhh . . .the group broke up because of people moving . . . . . hoping to look for some new playmates this spring when work slows down . . .can't play with fire alone. . . . .althought the boyfriend is patient enough to sit and spot me occassionally, lol.
i'm brans spaning new at it and love it. . . . .. . mmmmm .. . .now to learn poi and spin!!!!!!!!!

I live in Jacksonville, Fl.....lameass city, I've never heard of or met anyone else near or around me that spins....and believe me I've been looking! However in the fall I will be relocating to Asheville, NC. I know there's some peeps up there thankfully! Drop me a line if you're near either place or know of any events near here....
